The Analyser or Meters Are Not Moving

Silent meters are nearly always audio context, device or settings related.

Quick checks

  • Press play once inside the page — browsers suspend the audio context until a gesture.
  • Check Settings → Animated meters. When off, visualisers throttle deliberately to save CPU.
  • Confirm the correct output device is selected at the OS level.

If it is still frozen

  • Leave full screen and re-enter — this rebuilds the canvas renderers.
  • Reload the page and re-drop the file; a failed decode leaves the analyser flat.
