Privacy Notice

How Audientis Audio Technology (trading as Audientis) collects and uses personal data, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

Audientis Audio Technology, trading as Audientis, is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide why and how your personal data is processed. Contact us about privacy at privacy@audientis.com.

2. What we collect and why

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data (name, email address, login credentials, plan status) — to create and secure your account and provide the service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Support data (messages, tickets, attachments you send us) — to answer your questions and fix issues. Legal basis: performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in supporting customers.
  • Usage and telemetry (features used, session and performance events, error reports) — to keep the service reliable and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where required for analytics cookies.
  • Device and technical data (device and browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate region) — for security, fraud prevention, abuse detection and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
  • Desktop and controller settings (METRA DJ library index, playlists, beatgrids, cue settings, approved music folders, audio-output and MIDI controller preferences) — stored only on your computer to run the app. We do not receive them. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Purchase records (what you bought, plan, status, renewal and refund dates, and Paddle's order and subscription references) — to give you the access you paid for. We do not receive or store your card details. Legal basis: performance of our contract and legal obligation.
  • Project data (project names, analysis settings, applied corrections, and audio only where you explicitly create a cloud project) — to provide sync and collaboration. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Marketing data (email address and preferences) — to send product updates you have asked for. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.

3. Your audio

Audio you drop into the app is decoded and analysed locally on your device by default and is not uploaded to us. Audio only leaves your device if you choose to create or share a cloud project, or attach a file to a support ticket.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with:

  • service providers and subprocessors who help us run the service (hosting and database infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, error monitoring, analytics and support tooling), under contract and only on our instructions
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing
  • professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants where needed
  • authorities, regulators or courts where we are legally required to disclose, or to protect our rights

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or on Standard Contractual Clauses together with additional safeguards, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.

6. How long we keep it

Account and project data are kept while your account is active and for 30 days after closure, so you can reactivate or export. Support records are kept for up to 2 years. Security and error logs are kept for up to 12 months. Records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons are kept for as long as the law requires. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. Where UK or EU GDPR applies, you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

You can download a copy of your account data and delete your account yourself from Settings. To exercise any other right, email privacy@audientis.com. We respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored data, role-based access controls, least-privilege access for staff, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep incident procedures and will notify you and any regulator where the law requires.

9. Children

The service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar local storage. See our Cookie Policy for the categories used and how to manage your preferences.
